Two days in a row, on the weekend, at Port A, in December, is a gift. Solo 4.7 session. That's right, solo! Go figure.
We bought some bread and pastries from the German Bakery.
The bread is exceptional, definitely recommend it. My geography is terrible, but the pastries reminded me of pastries you get in some European country. Shoot, where is it again? It's on the tip of my tongue. I'm sure it'll come back to me.
Here is a nice clip of Herr Brian Spockmeister Miller pulling off a 540 at the Hatch. Er ist ehrfürchtig ja?

Red Tide
Top notch 4.2 session at Port A with a handful of people. The wind was 50 degree NE so was a tad on-shore. There was some pretty meaty swell on the outside (is swell singular??). One head high hit was sick. The lip projected me out in front of the wave fully planing. Oooh... so goood...
Sailed for 3 hours straight but when I got off the water it was suddenly like hot needles were being jabbed in my eyes! Ouch.
Finished up with hot dogs chez Millers whilst waving at the boat parade.

Lake Texana
I like Lake Texana. Dec thru Feb it comes into it's own for day trips when the cold water kills the South wind in Galveston Bay. Many a time I have sailed 4.7 at the Lake whilst it's barely 10mph at the Levee. Today the forecast was shaping up nicely for a classic day.
Before heading out I checked the water levels, they are at an all time low:
There are alligators at Lake Texana. I don't worry about them too much because they mostly hang out in the shallow marshy areas. Problem is, with the water this low the marshy areas are gone and the gators have no choice but to hang out in the lake...
SO! After some consultation with the wife, we agreed I would go the Levee. Shock horror! I got this (6.0 slogfest):
Instead of this (full power 4.2 freestyle):
Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

First!!!
Some of my windsurfing buds log all of their windsurfing sessions. They NEVER EVER stop telling me I need to do the same. So here we go. Not sure I can post every single session ever. That would be crazy...
